A brief post…
Seeing how my weekend is shot because of the long work week this week, this is going to be a very short post.
My boss is going on vacation instead of guy in freezer. Guy in freezer is going on vacation at the end of August. Guy we hired is going to day shift because someone quit to go to South Carolina. That guy has quit and came back quite a few times. His wife is a nurse and got a decent job down there. And my Friday got a bit more hectic. One guy is going to be late due to a golf outing (Mid to upper 80′s for the coming week, go figure) and another guy is going to to see Rascall Flats. So could have been an easy night now going to an interesting night. Just have to get through Thursday night. 3:00 pm to maybe 4:00am Friday morning. The only thing I’m doing Saturday is sleeping until maybe 3pm. Because 10 hours of sleep in the next two days is NOT going to cut it. Good thing I managed to wash one load of clothes before going to work. No real plans for the 4th of July. Never been a fan of firework shows. May end up just relaxing in the A/C. Because My Monday and Thursday will be complicated. Nothing I haven’t dealt with before. I hate summers because of everyone takes their vacations over the next three months. And me being me, I take my days off when it’s cool and enjoyable. Yeah, I’m weird that way.
Well, time for a shower and a brief five hour nap.
Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend and a safe 4th of July…

that’s a week away. aren’t you going to be around at all?
As this scrolls by my subscription window my brain keeps reading it as this “My boss is going on vacation instead of going in freezer.”
I hope you have a calm couple of weeks. I work for a company that is based out of Stockholm and traditionally everyone takes July off. They’ve managed it to the point where now it’s more like 1/2 of the company takes three weeks off followed by the other half. It’s insane being in the US and trying to get answers to questions or problems.
I would welcome days that were in the high 80s. We are enduring 100+ degree heat here. When I walked outside to go home this afternoon, it felt as though I was walking into a blast furnace. Praying for a break.
4th of July will be busy for me. I always have to work (from around 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)…I’ve put the parade together for the past 10 years. I am so tired of doing it, but no one else will do it. It would be nice to sleep in and truly have a day off. Going to my sister’s house in the evening for dinner on the deck and then a nice walk to the park to watch the firework display. I just hope it’s below 80 once the sun goes down.
