This, That, And The Other Thing…
I’m NOT watching The Olympics. Not that interested in outside sports. Or the justification of someone who could be working just to spend most their time training at a sport. And not get paid for it. Maybe it’s me but I don’t get it. And in the next Summer Olympics, they’re adding GOLF to “competition… Yeah, Golf. Go figure. I actually watched an Olympics one time when the first Dream Team of Basketball participated. Since then, not so much.
I am tired of listening to people bashing Penn State. And Political ads. About the freak who shot up the theater in Colorado. I wish to win the state lottery and somehow escape this madness. Even youtube has the political ads. May end up watching Netflix until November 7th.
My Play Station Portable (as known as a PSP) was acting up after I spilled some water on it. It’s now working again. but for a few days, I thought I was going to have to shell out another $150.00 for a new one. I had a container that has a button to open the top and it was jarred open and I put my PSP in said bag. I normally put it in my back-pack. This happened Thursday night and by today it’s working again.
Friday night re-watched Buckaroo Banzai again on Netflix. I do love my B Movies.
This month The Hunger Games is out on Blue Ray and I will be buying it and watching it again.
Starting in three days, the month of Hell happens. Over the period of thirty days, everyone, it seems, is taking time off. To cap it off, I get to spend two weeks in the freezer. I talked to my boss about how and what’s going to happen. Because said guy works the freezer (restocks it, puts things away etc.) and got no answer. Yet. Because I’m going to be a pain in the ass until I get some answers. And I can be a real pain in the ass when I want to be.
It finally rained some. It needs to rain more. My home town has a festival called The Corn Festival the second weekend in August. With what little rain there has been, the sweet corn isn’t going to be that great. It’s supposed to rain some more this week but will it be enough? Who knows.
Well, it’s time to call it a night. The work week awaits…

golf. as olympic sport. snore. i haven’t watched a single minute of the olympics. i heard the opening ceremony was boring. i should record the stuff i like, but i just can’t be bothered. i hate how the sports announcers make the olympics all about drama. show the dang events and shut the heck up.
i’m also fed up with those points of discussion. for the record, i ordered peachy paterno ice cream yesterday. the only thing the university left for JoePa.
good luck on hell month. come out and play occasionally.
When the bombing occurred here in OKC, it was on the news constantly for months on end. The sad thing is that it just doesn’t allow the people close to it time to heal. I understand the public’s “want to stay informed”, but it does not help to constantly be barraged with photos of the scene, stories about those who died, and everyone and his dog trying to make sense of a twisted mind through the media. Knowing some of the people who perished makes it infinitely harder. And it leaves a scar. Whenever incidents such as the World Trade Center bombings and mass shootings such as the one in Aurora occur, it dredges up all the hurt from the past. Reporters have a duty to report what happened, but to continually re-hash every minute detail does not serve any purpose. I need to know nothing further about James Holmes. I do not need to know what his grades were, what he ate for breakfast, how long he was planning the attack, or what color his hair is. What I know is that his actions were unconscionable and twisted and innocent people died. It is not necessary to sensationalize something that was horrific to begin with.
Working in the freezer? I can’t even begin to imagine. You can’t seem to catch a break. Hope those 2 weeks fly by for you.
