  • “New” lap top…

A short post before calling it a night…

My dad gave me his Sony VAIO lap top he bought four or fiver years ago. He updated it a year back. But for the most part, he never used it unless he went to see his brother and family in WV. I bought it off him for $100.00 He told me Best Buy would only give him that much. He wants an Apple and who can blame him. So over the next few weeks, I’m going to be transfering my stuff from my other lap top to this one. And figure out how to work the 1.3 megapixal camera and microphone. Tomorrow, I’m picking up The Hunger Games and start on yard work. Will post a longer blog later today.

  • Now that’s a deal! I hope you like the Hunger Games!

  • I’m using an old (rebuilt a zillion times) HP.  It’s been good, but like I said, the mother board is going out.  It has other issues too.  If I move around too much, it freezes up and I have to wait until I hear a *beep* and it “comes back”.  Fun.  I am attached to it, though.  I love the keyboard.  It’s really responsive.  Also, it’s nice because it’s so old no one else messes with my stuff!  LOL.  There is something to be said for that, especially around here!

  • It is curious that things become obsolete in five years. Anyway, this might be the right time to install Linux on the computer. Download it from the net.

  • that will keep you busy. dang. now i wanna get hunger games too.

  • I bought my Sony Vaio at Wal-Mart about two years ago.  I went there after dealing once again with the hard-sell guys at Best Buy who told me 27 lies in six minutes and wouldn’t listen to me.  The Wally-Worker (late teen to early 20′s) was honest, showed me neat stuff, told me to come back anytime I had a problem and he would walk me through it.  I don’t think it’s been turned off for more than a few hours since I got it (except when it’s in the case between hotel rooms) and I’ve never had a problem with it.
