Update…
Got my new “smart phone”. And here’s the story that goes with it. I’ll try not and bore you because the day started early. And unless the candy corn kicks in, it’s nighty night for me… (Yeah, not getting enough sleep the night before does that. And reading long into the night doesn’t help either…)
The day started off early. Took in a bunch of scrap, cans etc. and I had a bright idea of going to Wally World to either get my cell phone or check out the ones I may want to buy. Now, in most Wally World stores, cell phones are in the Electronics section. Not so in store I went into. Then again it was one the Super Ginormous Wally Worlds. The one with it’s own Zip Code. So any ways… I find the T-Mobile Phone I want and proceed to go through the process of getting the thing turned on. It should have been easy. Apparently, when I first started with T-Mobile, it was at one of those kiosks that was affiliated with T-Mobile and some how, either Wally World or someone else wouldn’t let me get a new phone. So, my dad with me suggests to me to dump T-Mobile and go with AT&T. And I dump $80.00 more than I want to because of the $150.00 deposit that I will get back next year. But it’s a Samsung Galaxy and DAMNED is it fun. And a sd card slot so I can hopefully load it up with songs and other things. And it’s about what I was paying before. Less minutes but they roll over and $30.00 data plan/internet. So unless I majorly screw up, I’ll be able to afford this new toy.
On a off topic: I just watched “Revolution”, a new show that premieres next week. Thanks to the PSP Network, they have pilot there and I figured what the Hell. It’s free and it’s a show that has potential. Okay, what would happen if some one had the ability to shut off every device on Earth. No batteries, electric grid, nada. And they shut off the power. Fifteen years later the story pick up and… Well, I’ll let you make your own call on it. It’s worth a shot after watching it. (So, no the PSP will not be replaced any time soon. No, my movies on my memory sticks will still stay there and the screen is larger) I am hoping “Last Resort” on ABC if worth a shot. Andre Braugher is an AWESOME actor. So it’s worth a shot. And maybe that new Sherlock Holmes show on CBS. As if I don’t have enough to watch to watch…
Well, time for something to eat. My sister’s week old pasta with Diet Caffeine Free Coke. Yeah, kinda weird. Just to have the taste of Coke instead of just drinking cold water. Well, I’d be drinking Diet Mountain Dew but I’d like to sleep in the next few hours. So, my Sunday is going to be chore. Vacuuming out the car and weed wack around the house is on the to-do list.
So, y’all have a restful weekend…

I’ve been toying with the idea of upgrading to a smart phone, but I keep talking myself out of it. And I’m planning on watching that new series, Revolution. Imagine a world without power…
you didn’t say what you are reading late into the night.
@promisesunshine - A Western by William W. Johnstone. There’s this book on the space race I want to start but will be saving it until winter and a free Thursday night. My weekends are filled with chores.
chores. dislike.
@promisesunshine - Me too… But this is the cost of being an adult. Or one of the costs.
what are the perks?
@promisesunshine - Yeah, what ARE the perks??? There are some. Just let me know when you find out.
we get to do whatever we want as long as what we want is what somebody else tells us to do.
@LastStopCrazyTown - There was a show about when all the adults died and the children were left called Jeremiah. It was on Showtime and Hulu had it for a while.
@promisesunshine - Like working, when family memebers remind us that they want/need something of us. Wait a minute. We get to drink/buy beer. Knew there was a perk somewhere…
oh. you are so right. beer makes it all worthwhile. cheers.
yay for smart phones. also, this is why I buy 90% of my electronics – phones, laptops, etc – on the internet. Went to buy my mom’s laptop and it was like omg this is way more complex than it needs to be. The less human interaction I have to deal with, the better.
Sounds like a productive day. I’ve not broken down to get a smart phone, but it’s just going to have to wait awhile. Seems that there is always something that needs to be repaired or replaced. Ugh.
Did you find anything out about your mower?
@Emme402 - Should know by mid week. And hopefully the cost will not kill me. The smart phone did. But then again I’ll consider it a early Christmas gift to me.
