One week down, three more to go…
Week one of the month of Hell is down. Three to go. Well, the first week wasn’t too bad but next week is going to be not so much fun. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job. But if there is one week of the year I despise is the week of The Feast Of The Assumption. It’s festival in Little Italy on the East Side of Cleveland. Pulling the pre-orders is one thing, hearing the the phone ringing off the hook on the night of the first day with add-ons is a class A pain in the ass. I am SOOOOO glad I don’t have to do deliveries. I’ve heard the customers can be such a pain in the ass. I was asked back when I first started if I was going to go to the festival. Yeah, nothing like eating Italian food on paper plates and paying way too much for it. When I can walk fifteen minutes from my house and eat better food off of real plates in A/C. My hometown has it’s own festival called, wait for it, The North Ridgeville Corn Festival. Yeah, and Corn is a plenty most years. With the drought like conditions, who knows… Anyway back to work. I get it that it for the Church but going there to spend cash on over priced Italian food is not my idea of fun. If there was deep fried food i.e. deep fried Twinkies (yeah really bad for you but it’s very tasty) or funnel cakes maybe I might go. And I can Gelato cheaper and more flavors at work.
Last week, the lawn mower started acting up and the back-up electric mower isn’t fairing any better. May have to invest in a new lawn mower next week. It’s a good thing with the lack of rain this summer and I managed to get the front yard cut before it started acting up.
Speaking of rain, it’s finally rained a decent amount last night. And it’s not as hot. This week was a normal hot as blazes in the warehouse. The rain of late seemed to be missing my neighborhood but there was a decent amount of rain last night. Am hoping for some rain. Anything to cool it off some. I am glad I’m not dealing with the 100 degree weather out West. But then again, I don’t mind the dry heat. It’s the humidity is what makes it miserable. I was in 100 degree heat when I was in Basic Training in El Paso Texas in September of 1985. But I am more of a fan of Spring and Autumn.
Some moron from my hometown goes into a local theater with a bag of guns and knives and assorted other gear a few days ago while watching The Dark Knight Rises. Sheesh. My question is, well two questions, when did theaters allow back packs and is this guy totally clue less??? I don’t get it. There is no one worth killing and going to jail for the rest of my life. It’s more fun to torment people who piss me off. The gift that keeps giving…
And shooting in temple… I’m blaming the heat that brings out the morons. Because I have no clue why the idiots are doing things like this. Or the genetic modified food or sun spots.Marvin Hamlish died this week and no word on Xanga about it. Go figure.
Curiosity safely lands on Mars and it’s working and I stayed up to witness it. The Space Nerd is happy and is wondering when a human landing is going to happen.
Only a few days left in The Olympics and way longer for political ads. “SIGH”…
Because I am so clue less, I had to reformat my MP3 player to delete a bunch of unwanted songs. I do want a new MP3 player but it’s not in the budget.
Well, that’s all for now. Going to get some dinner and finish washing clothes and enjoy my weekend.
Be safe and stay cool…

i learned about marvin hamlisch on facebook. different kind of folks on xanga i guess. regarding your hometown moron. holy crud. was he thinking on doing a harm or was he thinking on preventing someone else from doing a harm? the latter worries me as much as the former.
i have seen zero minutes of the olympics. what is the matter with me.
glad your week was ok.
were having wars here. yikes. dogsitting and the cats are supremely unhappy about this
@promisesunshine - Was more disapointed that no one posted about Curiosity on Mars. Then again I’m more of a Space Nerd than anyone else.
i saw a couple posts about curiosity. quantumstorm maybe and somebody else. prisoneroflove with bonus x’s everywhere. maybe. apparently these things weren’t as important as confessions and comment counts.
@promisesunshine - Just trying to keep my sanity in check this month. I reach a milestone this month. I’ll have been here since 2002. Aug. 23 was my first post here.
@Zoz36 - wow. and i’m not even a year yet. we should have a party on your xangaversary
I’ve been incredibly out of touch this week. I did catch the space landing, but hadn’t heard about Marvin Hamlisch until a day or so later. Awfully young and such a loss.
@promisesunshine - I’ll supply the beer (need to know favorites from everyone). I’ve had this site for ten years. Used it for two years maybe. Webtv broke and posting from library was a pain.
